I am so jealous of people with talent. That's gorgeous. I just want to stare at it. Thank god it isn't a person. They'd be annoyed if I was looking at them as much as I'm looking at this work. Wonderful.

Thanks a lot:) I`am glad that you like it.......
and don`t be jealous please:)))

This is awesome, I love the texture and how it disintegrates so smoothly.

This is beautiful.
Amazing

What a sweet print! Did you do sugarlift with aquatint to get the large, dark areas and the little swishy lines?

Butterflies always make me think of this Miwok (sp?) creation myth, where god came down to earth in the form of a butterfly, and flew all over without rest until it found the perfect home for humans to live. Only then did the butterfly/god land.
:icondimovskas:
not really, the large dark areas are made by line etching first, and then filled with the darkest tone of aquatinta. I`ve used sugarlift only on those parts where the brush strokes are visible

when a lizard dies on summermouse butterflies escape from mouths and cary away the spirit. .. ...
-beautiful etchings.. you might like jorg schmeisser's work, especially the early stuff.. [link] there's not much on the web let alone anything in pixels that does it justice.. -l.
